Simulating Control equipment is critical to remote support and future iterations of improvement
Control solutions present a real challenge to implement test procedures that will test unit functionality in the design environment. Often we just FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) or SAT (Site Acceptance Test) while we have access to the equipment before it is put into production. Building simulators that will allow for simulated functionality is expensive and time consuming; however, it may be critical to remote support and integrating future improvements without adversely affecting uptime of units in the field.
